We do not receive payment or any sort of compensation for the sharing of this data. We do not ask for credit card information, profiling information, browsing history, purchase history, interests, habits, daily routines or any other information valuable to advertisers and trackers. The only information we solicit is for the purpose of displaying on your profile, and all non-basic information is not required and refusing to submit it or submitting false information will not hinder your experience with us.

This is also why we don't show ads or work with Google or any other big tech companies that track users across the internet to determine their interests and habits and sell that information to advertisers and third parties that use targeted ads, surveys, etc. The information you do choose to submit however is done with your informed consent and with the knowledge that it is not necessary for the Site's full functionality.

Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name and email address. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. All logs containing non-identifying information are only kept on our servers for one week for diagnostic purposes, after which time they are destroyed. We may also use third party tracking tools that share non-personal identification information such as location, loading times, and user interactions. These tracking tools have no access to session cookies or any personal identification information.

Web Browser Cookies and HTTP/HTTPS Headers

Our Site uses "cookies" to enhance User experience. When a user visits our website, their web browser places cookies on their device storage for record-keeping purposes. We do not use cookies to track any data, like other websites that use "supercookies". User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, their experience will not be hindered beyond having to enter their login credentials at every visit. Our session cookies are secured and cannot be stolen by others to impersonate you.

Our Site also uses HTTP and HTTPS headers, that are instructions we send to your browser on how to handle our website. This is mostly done for security purposes, to protect you while you are browsing Snip.City. For example, one such header is HSTS, which adds our website into a list in your browser. This is a list of websites that only accept secure connections. We do this in order to make sure your browser never tries to connect to Snip.City over an insecure connection. You can remove Snip.City from your browser's list at any time, but that's highly not recommended because it could allow hackers to intercept the connection and potentially steal your data.
